Written
by Amri Ruhayat and Saw Teong Hin this musical which has all the ingredients
for a great piece of theatre.......fun, laughter, tears, a great set and
lighting, great songs of our late Sudirman arranged by Jamie Wilson but most of
all a dream cast headed by director, Saw Teong Hin with: Adibah
Noor, Tony Eusoff, Shanthini Venugopal, Junji Delfino, Anding and the next big
talent in the music world, Nadia Aqilah. Watch out for these personalities as
they sing, dance and gyrate with a powerful ensemble of dancers and singers.
Music will be played by musicians from AkashA and friends.
The
story?
It's
about a boy (Anding). From Chow Kit Road. His ups and downs. His oohs and ahhs.
The Ladies of the Night ( Junji Delfino) the transvestite (Shanthini Venugopal).
The druggie (Tony Eusoff), the Datin (Adibah Noor) and her well travelled
daughter (Nadia Aqilah).
This musical is extremely close to out hearts as it exhibits the compositions of Sudirman Haji Arshad, a legend in our local scene. It gives is great pleasure as AkashA Malaysia, the premier Malaysian world fusion music band to lend a hand with this muscial..Jamie Wilson, (guitarist, composer) together with AkashA's musicians and friends providing the live music. It is both exhilarating. humbling and enormous venture. Come one and all!
