Sutra Dancers

Here's some good news for Indian classical dance lover: Sutra Foundation will be organizing a lot of  activities and performance this coming October in their mission to keeping the legacy alive regardless of race, creed or religion. To many astonishment, this foundation itself is founded by Datuk Ramli Ibrahim, a cultural icon who has performed internationally for more than 3 decades. His efforts has earned himself  BOH Cameronian Malaysia 2003 Lifetime Achievement Award.

Basically, the event will start off with Amrita Lahiri's talk on arts management on the 2nd October 2013. Amrita who is also a Kuchipudi dancer then will be performing at ICC, Kuala Lumpur on the 3rd October 2013. Besides being an excellent Kuchipudi dancer, Amrita also has had a successful career as an Arts Administrator, handling the voluminous cultural programs at The National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai.
