Tekan-Tekan! (That's press, press in English)

The electronica music scene in Malaysia may be somewhat small but it’s definitely thriving at a steady pace.

While the soundscape of Malaysia is largely made up of pop, rock, indie and cultural music, the futuristic beats and experimental sounds of electronica have attracted quite an impressive fan base.

If you dig this genre you should check out some of the home-grown electronica acts who will be jamming out some sleek tunes at Tekan-Tekan, the first Malaysian electronica music showcase happening this Thursday night 28 February at Kakiseni’s Black Box in SS2 Mall.

Tekan-Tekan Vol.1 will feature five local talents Jena, +2db, flica, kucén and Tenderfist. They each have their distinct music style and approach, so it will feel sort of like a mini electronica festival.

This is an amazing platform for Malaysian electronica artistes to be recognised and a boost to our music scene. So don’t miss it! Admission is RM15 and show starts at 8pm.
