Gong Hei Fatt Choy!

The cities and towns in Malaysia have been painted red! Well sort of. That’s because Chinese New Year 2013 is just a few days away and the festive mood is simply amazing.

Chinese New Year music blaring almost everywhere and many shops plus shopping malls are decked with all things red. Very festive!

One of the moments to look out for during the celebration is the spectacular lion dance performance. This cultural Chinese art is a must-catch, filled with acrobatic stunts and energetic dance moves that are in sync to the beat of gongs, drums and cymbals. Lion dance is one unique traditional performance art; it is a blend of martial arts, dance, drama, music and even sportsmanship.
